Alpha-1 where you at??

Just saw this article on cnn.com and I was like I swear I recognize that guy from somewhere.. then it hit me, he looks just like Alpha-1, in his picture online here...

He looks just like him, or his brother or something.. But it says he's from Illinois, and Alpha-1 is in "Mid-Michigan"... *shrug*

I'm of the opinion that there's a relatively limited number of appearance-related gene sets walking around, which is why you can usually describe a certain "type" of face in a manner sufficient to provide a generally accurate impression to listeners. ie. How many times have you encountered a guy that could be sufficiently described as looking like Woody Allen? A corresponding theory (in my untrained mind) is the recent assertion based on DNA analysis that one in 200 men in the world today is a direct descendant of Genghis Khan. Think about that, fully .5% of the world's male population is a "son" of the house of a single man that died less than 800 years ago. That's means around 16,000,000 men alive today are walking around with his genes. How many among them bear common physical characteristics that a more complete understanding of the human genome could directly attribute to his Y-chromosome? How many more prominent common ancestors are out there contributing to a general homogeneity among a finite number of physical 'types"?

Of course, within the scope of my formal qualifications, I'm completely talking out of my ass. Others that have been more thoroughly enknowledged (shut up, its a word) in such disciplines *cough*harley*cough* could more fully expound on my amatuer theory, or expose it for the tripe it probably is.

As for the guy above, he and I do share quite a few common characteristics; prominent symmetrical cheek bones, asymmetrical eyes, androgenic alopecia coincinding with high frontal and parietal bones, not to mention a pathological and self harming attraction to girls on dope and swans.

But that's not me.

A simple NO would have worked. GLAD to hear it is not you, and that you are alive and well... err, I mean alive and mildly psychotic, but that's close enough!


It is just so bizarre that I saw that and thought of you, and then looked up your pic again and lo and behold, it's a pretty good match. Maybe you should assume his identity now, and pretend you're "not dead". Act delusional a bit, screw his wife a few times, of course after you dope her up some more just the giggles, and then maybe see what he has in his bank account and then have his persona seemingly disappear and "go back to being dead"...

Or maybe I could NOT talk ill of said recently deceased unknown person... Hopefully I don't get struck down by lightning now...

Those are the same numbers as Woody Allens offspring.
