Planetside 2 - Should we all belong to the same Empire?

So I started up the game and the first question it asks is what empire you'd like to join. There were three options (names escape me at the moment smokingjoint

).

For those of you that have created accounts, what empire have you joined?

It probably does have voice chat, but with so many people on one server, I don't know how they limit the noise. Might be good that have the separate clan voice chat.

Well, having played a whopping 3hrs...I can offer the following...Yes the game has voice chat, and it is important. While I used T/S when I played with the OCB group, the options in game are - proximity (where the ppl near you hear your words of insult and wisdom); squad (where just your squad hears you); squad leader (where I presume you can bitch about the morons on the squad and get someone kicked...lol) and maybe one or two more that I am missing.Yes, you have to belong to the same empire if you wish to work together and also the same server...once you choose a server, you are forced to create a new character to go to a different server...new character means new name too...all character attributes reset (it is after all a new character). So choose wisely and let me know what server/empire you will be on with so that I can mirror that and join the squads when able.

Vanu seems to be the coolest to me.

I was also thinking Vanu was the best due to the fighter jet having the most control of the 3.

OK, so Vanu aliens it is...what server are you all joining?

Its seems so laggy

and so slow and dark and purple-ish???

i personally cant tell friend from foe.. for shit!
game needs a lot of updates IMO...

I looked at this, looks like you have to buy different weapons and in game upgrades, Homie dont do that. I will buy a game and all are equal, earn xp to ramp up.

I've been in Connery myself...but am dutifully waiting on the CCC server choice so I can play with some real teamwork players....man, 10 kills so far and 60 deaths...almost 90% of deaths from heavy armor/air....it's crazy out there....last night was the most laggy to date....watched as a sniper, ppl appear/disappear reappear...not sure I will continue with the madness....

This lag you speak of is enough to repel me from the realm until further notice...
