Anyone have some input about this game? I don't really play anything else other than ETQW, but this caught my eye. Interesting color scheme. Reminds me of something from the A Scanner Darkley movie mixed with Borderlands. Might give it a go.

promo looks cool, but they didn't show any actual gameplay. seems a stretch that Civilization makers (top down view resource game) would suddenly jump into the First Person Shooter arena. but it might be possible. personally, i always wait for playable demos before i decide to shell out serious cash on a game.
XCOM and Arkane's Dishonored are the two big releases at the moment. Both are getting great reviews, from what I've seen.
Scootter did you play the original strategy game from the 90s? I didn't, but it's legendary in some circles.

No, I didn't play the original. There have only been a few strategy games that have held my interest for long.
Ez, it actually isn't a FPS. It's still a turn by turn strategy game. But it has a good storyline and movie sequences. Really liking it so far. I haven't yet tried the multiplayer mode....

XCOM Enemy Unknown is pretty true to the original - I really liked the original so this game really rocks for me.
I was able to get out of my Brink/Wolfenstein buyers remorse stage with the purchase of BL2. If that game was awful I think I wouldve /quit video games.

Remind me to never get in that mood again.
Brink the $49 barbie dress up game, I will sell my copy for $1. I am with Sen, Brink stopped me from ever trying a new game. ETQW forever. Will it still work on Windows 17

I went ahead and put TF2 from Steam on to give it a try.

TF2 is not bad, especially for a free game. Same goes for Tribes: Ascend. Both free, and that is hard to argue with.
