Another computer thread by Marty

ok so a nvidia chipset seems to be out of my price range. so is getting a pair of video cards. or a mismatched set. That said, I don't think i'll run into an issue as my main goals are motherboard and ram, then processor. Video cards would be further down on the list and by then, i could probably get one card that'll be good enough.

Even though my 260GTX is out of date, i'm only running it at half it's potential, so i should be fine with my prior mobo choice.

i'm about half way there with my penny pinching.

This project has been put on hold for 3 reasons;
1. This boat is gonna coast me a lot to get going.
2. Brink isn't jiving for me, so i really don't feel the need... yet.
3. This whole ATI Nvidia SLI/xfire bullshit with the current modern specs is pissing me off. Might as well wait until someone wins the battle.

Don't jump yet, I saw a press release today from the UK that a new generation of AMD with superior video support is coming out. BTW is E3 soon? Seen lot's of new this and new that announcements.
