i just received a beta key and was going to play it, wondered if anyone else here was to?

for some reason i cant connect to any servers.... trying for almost an hour now..

Alpha-Trial- what do you expect...

plus its web based.. thought that was odd for some reason..

I am going to preorder BF3 this week.
The open beta doesn't start until september from what I heard. thats probably the reason you can't connect.

Yeah Dommafia mentioned to me that the open beta starts sometime september. I know i'll try that if i can. I'm curious how the jet dogfights will be, but idk about those 64 slot servers >_> not much of a fan of big matches like that.

no i was able to connect, and played many hours of the ALPHA Beta- they were just having issues, not surprising - ALPHA and all..

am sure i'll get an invite to the open BETA- (well i got email saying i would, but who knows) i'll give the game another go.. but TBH, from what I played.. the game is going to be a sniper CAMP fest.. way to many choke points.. the graphics are amazing.. but! i couldnt see shit, very hard to see who is who.. rarely did i see the guy that killed me..

every complaint i had during ALPHA was shared by many, hopefully they will listen..

in its current state- no chance in hell will i be buying this game..

i know its early and BETA hasnt even started yet, but i've been apart of many BETA's and gave feedback along with others, and still the DEVS didnt listen..

but you never know with BF3- time will tell..

I'll give it a try. They have huge 64 player maps with Jets, helicopters, tanks, infantry.....however I'll be going the pirating route first to try it out. Lesson learned with Brink.

understandable- am not into the 'pirate' thing, to each his own...

but no BETA or DEMO me no buy BF3... or any SD game, for that matter..

learned the same lesson as well, with Brink or as SEN calls it (which is fitting) Stink!

Open beta starts on Sept 29th. Beta is open to everyone PC players have to download it from origin.
Console players can get it from xbox marketplace and psn

I'll wait until Fodder ruins the game, it should be avaiable in bargin bin shortly after that.
