ProMod Server

We have a ProMod server which is currently being underutilized. I have been trying to do as much research into server management as possible in my (very little) free time, and have a bunch of ideas on what to do to change this situation. I can put a bunch more custom maps and campaigns on it (right now there are only Maridia, Radar, and CommLink). There are many custom maps which are a ton of fun to play, and will keep you from being bored. If you haven't tried these three maps you maybe surprised at how different they are. Believe it or not, there are still people writing new maps for ETQW even now.

Or we could turn it into a QWTA server.

I want to know what you would like to do with this server. I am happy to keep sponsoring it, I just want to see it get used.

Speaking for myself, I'm not likely to use it that much, but I gotta say you're a mensch for financing and admining it AB, I've had some fun games on it.

Alphabeta has worked very hard on the Pro server,The only time I would join if it had players on it,but has been inactive for many moons now.Maybe with Mike Green and Hoebag and our other Elite players can get together?Don't they have another season coming up FTML?

I was hoping the same thing with hoebag and greene joining. I've been on the pro server and waited for people to join up, but it just isn't happening. I had one guy join and he wouldn't play 1 -1 (which is better than nothing??). Mabey the clan can schedule a game, its soooooo nice to see a new map!!

FTML has lapsed due to a lack of participation by many teams that signed up. It was really fun when we had 4 guys who had practiced together; we even won some matches! Sad, but the truth is that it is hard to practice consistently with each of our various schedules.

What I want is for the ProMod to be a way of keeping our interest. I think we could possibly make it into the former "Custom Map Nirvana" server. I am working on getting the proper maps and custom campaigns now.

I turned in my application for colocation server space at work. This process is slow due to the fact that two different VP's have to sign off on it.

Will be adding new custom maps this week.

Duke which of the maps on that list do you recommend? Which are fun, playable, and challenging?

wow actually all are fun and challenging. not all playable though, some have bugs.

remember that clients need to have maps downloaded and if you want autodownload you need a mod like promod. thanks and have fun

All the maps are now on the server but I am having a bear of a time to get the Custom Campaigns to work. You can still play each map individually. I encourage you to download them and try them out; some really are very cool.
