| sucks where privacy is concerened, however they re not the only ones doing it, hence clearing cookies is always a good idea. I use tune up utilities and every couple of days it clears all my cookies, similar to cc-cleaner. http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANERcc cleaner is for free (well the most basic one is) , tune up aint, but tune up has ofc more worthy functions than just clearing cookies. ^^ |

| learn how to use a hosts file correctly for your appropriate o.s. can solve a lot of these problems - ads/adware/spyware/trackers etc... in a simple fashion. sometimes you give up functionality, some places check to see if there ads fire or not etc most don't. I don't use facebook so i can't say about that... here is an example http://someonewhocares.org/hosts on its use, there are others, always check to make sure if you download a hosts file from somewhere the links go to nothing in all cases. Oh well psa of sorts L-A |

| Spybot Search & Destroy, as well as other programs, I'm sure, have an Immunization feature that will automatically add bad sites and whatnot to your host file for you. And it's free. We use it up here at work. | |
