custom maps

anyone know of any to try?

Not discouraging this, I just wanted to say that I lost that sense of boredom with the maps once I realized that they're kind of like a football field or a basketball court.

Those maps never change either, they're always the same size, same equipment, objectives always in the same place, same corners and difficult to cover areas... Yet despite all that each game is different and (potentially) exciting because it then comes down to the strategy, skill and teamwork of the players. I never got bored with a basketball court itself (I never get a basket either...)

That said, playing a new map would be a lot of fun too and I'll be there, but years later I still get that sense of potential each time at the kick off in Refinery.

Estate, Maridia, Spirit City, Arctic Assualt, Radar (ported from ET), Construction Site, TeamJunlge, there are a few called After the War (1-3 I believe), Spirit City, Canal, Andes, Facility.

I think he was talking about my post It had the link to the 2009 Nirvana map pack.

There are a few up there now, maybe about 1/3 of them. If anyone wants to play them, just download that whole pack, and unzip it into your base folder with the other .pk4 files.

If you wanna play, then download the pack, unzip it to the base folder and then join the promod server. Vote to switch to whatever maps..

(there is a goldeneye map there. It looks awesome, but it kinda sucks for anything other than zombie-bots.)
