getting kicked each time

Every time I start ETQW over the last couple of weeks I get a hang for about 10 seconds then it lets me get into game, then almost immediately I get pb kicked. I go back in I get the hang then I get to play. I am getting tired of this, so today I uninstalled ET and reinstalled, manually updated PB and same thing , kicked.

Plot thickens
Second URL above points to an issue within the last week that affects 1) legacy games like ETQW, 2) PB link to the issue, 3) Microsoft Security Essentials (MSSE) link, and 4) Windows 7
So, what I did tonight is under MSSE I listed ETQW.EXE and the PB folder in ETQW as items to be exluded from real-time security scans. Seems to have worked - so far...

i've been getting kicked the first time i join a server, what i do is:
reload_engine
reconnect

works almost everytime(for me)
